Resource Yourself

Body-centered Nervous System Regulation Group Sessions

Ann Arbor, MI or Virtual

Resource Yourself Sessions are rooted in a simple idea...

Stress lives in the body—and healing can begin in the body, too.

This workshop offers gentle, body-based practices to help you slow down, release stress, and reconnect with yourself with more compassion and less pressure.

Many of us spend so much energy worrying:

Am I okay? Will I fit in? Will people like me? Am I doing this right? Why do I feel this way?

These worries are deeply human.

Beneath them, many of us long for the same things: to feel safe, connected, loved, valued, and more at ease in our lives and bodies.

This workshop is an invitation to support your nervous system in service of those deeper desires.

An invitation toward self-compassion.

Toward noticing what is happening inside without judgment.

Toward remembering that we are all carrying something.

Toward reconnecting—with yourself, with others, and with our shared humanity.

An Invitation to Experiment

An Invitation to Experiment

This offering is experiential.  Rather than talking at length about stress, we work with it directly through the body.

Through movement, breath, stretching, self-massage, meditation, and mindful awareness, we gently soften familiar patterns of tension and invite new experiences into the nervous system.

This bottom-up approach can support shifts in both body and mind.

These practices may help you:

  • soften muscular holding patterns

  • downshift nervous system activation

  • increase presence and awareness

  • create more spaciousness inside

  • support creativity, flexibility, and hope

You may notice moments where something feels unfamiliar—or where part of you wants to stop.

That’s okay.

New patterns often feel unfamiliar before they feel supportive.

This workshop is not about doing anything perfectly.

It’s about experimenting.

Trying something.

Noticing what helps.

Keeping what supports you.

Leaving what doesn’t.

It's Your Body, Your Pace.

You are the expert of your own body.

During the workshop, Nichole offers guidance, demonstration, and gentle structure throughout the session, while inviting each participant to stay connected to their own internal experience, comfort, and needs.

You are always welcome to:

  • move at your own pace

  • rest

  • sit down

  • modify any movement

  • skip any practice

  • step away briefly

  • reposition your body or mat

  • choose what feels supportive for you

This is an invitation to stay connected to yourself.

To notice what you need.

To follow your body’s rhythms rather than override them.

By registering, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily choosing to participate in gentle movement, meditation, breathwork, self-massage, and guided somatic practices, and that you are responsible for engaging in ways that feel appropriate and supportive for your body, nervous system, and overall well-being.

All practices are optional.

This is a non-therapeutic educational wellness offering and is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for mental health or medical care.

If you have medical, physical, or mental health concerns that may affect participation, please consult with your healthcare provider before attending and feel free to reach out with questions.

The intention is to create a compassionate space where each person has permission to listen inward, care for themselves, and participate in ways that honor their own body’s needs.

Healing often happens through small, repeated acts of care.

One small thing at a time.

A breath.

A stretch.

A pause.

A moment of softening.

A choice to stay with yourself.

Every little thing you do matters.

I’m glad you’re here - you deserve peace and belonging.

Resource Yourself Sessions are a good fit if:

  • You’re comfortable in a small group setting (up to 6 in-person participants)

  • You’re open to guided practices with minimal talking

  • You’re willing to engage in movement, meditation, and self-touch

  • You have some ability to stay present in your body during guided practices

This offering may feel especially supportive for people who feel comfortable being gently led through body-based practices with relatively little verbal explanation.

What to bring:

  • Yoga mat

  • Journal

  • Water bottle

Please wear loose, comfortable clothes.

Come to as many sessions as you like. Repetition can help deepen your relationship with the practices and support integration over time.
